TECH5 Golf Club Finance was founded in 2003 by Colin Theedom, a leasing veteran with over forty years leasing experience. The company’s focus has been in leasing turf care equipment and has over 1500 agreements with farms, football clubs and leisure centres in its customer portfolio. Having retired in 2015, Colin sold the business to WestWon, a UK leasing company with a keen interest in the golf sector. Colin remains as a non-executive director of the TECH5 golf leasing division and will continue to work closely with Donald Smith at TECH5 in growing the business further.

Jeremy Hall

Leasing experience:
Jeremy Founded Wyse Leasing in 1989 with a fax machine and an NEC 9a mobile phone, the size and weight of a brick. From a modest office, with no door and only just bigger than the size of a desk, his loyal team built the company into a well-known business writing over 20,000 lease agreements.

Family, running, films, keeping busy, trying to keep fit

Colin Theedom

Non-Executive Director

Leasing experience:
Colin has spent the last 43 years in the asset finance industry, starting with Lombard in 1973.
He progressed through a number of major finance companies, going from salesman to National Account Manager, dealing with manufacturers and importers, before forming his own company in 1999.
Tech5 was born in 2003 and developed to be a leading player in the golf machinery financing market over the next 13 years. The company name has become synonymous with competitive, personal service in the industry.

Interests:
Colin’s hobbies include golf, walking and travel.

Donald Smith

Divisional Director

Leasing experience:
Donald joined the asset finance industry 20 years ago, starting as a new business manager for IT leasing company, Dataserv. He has gained valuable success and experience over the years working very closely with Clients and Partners in many of the key market sectors, including Banking, Retail, Leisure, Technology and Manufacturing.
